Cannes Lions 2015 – Saatchi & Saatchi London pick up two bronze Lions for Chelsea FC ‘Get me a sponsor’

At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity - the most prestigious event within the advertising industry - Saatchi & Saatchi London celebrated winning two bronze Lions for Chelsea FC ‘Get me a sponsor’ in the Acquisitions and Corporate Image & Communication categories.
About the campaign
As part of the “Get me a Sponsor” campaign, 33 CEOs of some of the world’s busiest and most successful businesses were delivered a personalised aluminum case. In the lid of the presentation case was an iPad showing a film starring them. Through digital mapping, painstaking personal research and meticulous post production, the film gave them a tantalizing look at what their future with Chelsea FC might look like should they choose to become the next major club sponsor.
Of the 33 cases that were delivered, every single CEO responded personally. On 26th February 2015 Chelsea Football Club signed a five-year deal with Yokohama Tyres, worth £40m-a-year, running for an initial term of five years.
