Marie Curie Cancer Care, the registered charity which cares for people with all terminal illnesses providing free practical care and emotional support at home or in one of its hospices, has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi London to its advertising account after a competitive pitch handled by the AAR.
The agency will be responsible for all above-the-line and digital communications for the charity, working towards September 2015, which will see the re-launch of Marie Curie under a new positioning.
Chris Dainty, Director of Communications, Marie Curie, said: “This an exciting time for Marie Curie. The charity is launching a new strategy which is all about delivering more care and support to more people at the end of life. Our new creative agency will have a key role to play in helping to make Marie Curie better known and understood. Saatchi & Saatchi really impressed us with their clear strategic thinking and we look forward to working with them on the exciting challenges which lie ahead.”
Magnus Djaba, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi London says: “We are incredibly proud to have the chance to work with an organisation that that is extremely close to my heart and to the hearts of many of the people within the agency. We look forward to producing campaigns that will raise awareness of Marie Curie’s work, aims and goals.”
