Cannes - Pablo Del Campo, CEO of Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi Argentina, took to the stage at the 54th Cannes International Advertising Festival for a workshop about the growing influence Latin American advertising is having on the world. He joined Marcello Serpa, CEO of Almap BBDO in Brazil, for the LatinSpots-sponsored session, 'The Look and Contribution of Argentine and Brazilian Advertising'.
The event attracted a big and enthusiastic audience from all over the world, who were treated to an insight into why Latin America is now the centre where many major networks and communications groups look for new and fresh ideas. The passionate way in which the region works was demonstrated through the experiences of two of its most recognized creatives, who received a standing ovation at the workshop's conclusion.
As Del Campo pointed out, the Argentine advertising industry is at its highest point ever right now: "Clients started coming to Argentina a few years ago asking for global work with low budgets, but this has changed and nowadays we have the best option: Global jobs with high budgets and strong local work as well."
